About the Workshops

The Dream Inc. Music Workshops are an exciting and refreshing alternative to standard music workshops and classes currently available in Australia. They are held this coming September 18-20 at the Melbourne Town Hall.

The Dream Inc Music Workshops deliver a program that will allow participants the opportunity to gain a better knowledge of singing, songwriting and performing skills via the exclusive services of established superstar artists and industry professionals from around the world.

The Workshops are designed to allow participants involved the chance to express their innate abilities, without the pressure of a competitive environment. This is not a ‘competition’ – but an opportunity for people to grasp their passion for music and make the most of what they can be in a musical sense.

Unlike a traditional singing lesson or school, the Dream Inc Music Workshops will offer exposure and development in all areas of singing, song writing and performance.

Along with developing skills and creativity, Dream Inc Music Workshops will also allow participants involved, the opportunity to increase their individual self-esteem. With youth depression and low self esteem so prevalent in today’s society, we aim to focus on everyone’s individual uniqueness and build their dignity, pride and self-confidence, with the assistance of beyondblue - the national depression initiative. A portion of all profits will be donated to beyondblue to assist with the service they provide to Australian's suffering from depression.

So be a part of the evolution from the singer to the artist and be connected with recording artists and the record companies that found them! If you are a singer that has never had a singing lesson, you are playing gigs or even if you're a singing teacher, no matter where you are in your Music Career, Dream Inc Workshops will be able to take you to your next level. Learn from some of the best singing teachers, songwriters and artists not only Australia, but the world has to offer.

“The exciting aspect of the workshops is that the focus of the teaching programme will be the evolution of the “singer to the artist.” Therefore it will compliment the students currently enrolled in different singing schools studying different techniques and cater for the beginner to professional. There will be specialist Rock, RnB, Pop, Jazz and Song writing workshops. It will be an incredible 3 day journey into self discovery and creativity.”
David Jaanz

What you need to bring with you each day

· Note that Star Development Deal Performances (Daily) will give you the chance to perform 30seconds of either one of your Originals or a cover song of your choice for the Guest Artists and Record Companies. We request that NO Backing Tracks can be used, but we allow you to use an Acoustic Guitar (that has a pick up to be plugged into a DI – NO AMPS ALLOWED) or the Keyboard we supply you with, to perform your song. Please note that if you are attending the FULL 3 days, we give you the option to either sing the same song 3 times or you can chose to sing 3 different songs.

· We advise people to wear comfortable clothes to the workshops, as some of the electives will require movement. If you would like to get changed for your big performance for the Guest Artists and Record Companies, we suggest you use your Afternoon Tea Break to do so.

· We will supply you with a workbook for the Workshops, but please bring along any notebooks and pens you think you may require.

· Note that there is to be NO recording (Audio or Visual) of the Workshops

· Lunch is not supplied, so we recommend to either bring along your lunch with water and snacks to keep you going through the day or you can leave and purchase your food. If you are over the age of 18yrs you can leave the venue for lunch without the supervision of one of our Group Leaders.
