Star Development Deals awarded daily, in conjunction with Sony, Universal, Warner and EMI
We are extremely pleased to announce that Sony Music, Mercury Records, Island Records, Warner Music and EMI have joined forces with the Dream Inc. Music Workshops to provide 6 x Star Development Deals to participants at this year's inaugural workshop. Seymour Stein and A&R Executives from these five major record labels will be choosing the 6 most talented students from the Song Performances at the end of each day at the Workshops. Imagine that, you could be lucky enough to be working with the creative folks at Sony, Mercury, Island, Warner or EMI and find yourself recording your very own songs in a studio!
It is an amazing opportunity for any aspiring artist to perform in front of these people, let alone with the chance of picking up one of the deals. The Star Development Deals will give each recipient the chance to record their own songs in a proper recording studio, with an experienced engineer, and overseen by professional A&R people over a week long period. They will come out of it with a professional demo and invaluable experience and contacts.
Michael Parisi of Michael Parisi Management, and former president of A&R for Warner Music Australia said, "These deals will provide a young artist with a unique opportunity to develop their craft with the help of professional A&R people. It's like finding a gold ticket in a chocolate bar for any aspiring artist!"
To be in the chance to receive 1 of these Star Development Deals and to record with one of these Record Companies, you must first purchase your ticket and be at the Dream Inc Music Workshops. Visit our website for more details and to buy tickets now. www.dreaminc.com.au
Message from our Ambassador... Brooke Addamo!
Brooke is a highly accomplished singer and performer and has recently joined the Dream Inc team as our very first ambassador.
Hey Guys,
To all those of you who have registered for Dream Inc. I hope you are working on 30secs of your favorite song you will perform at the end of each day for the Record Companies and Artist Mentors, I know I am
It's not every day you have the opportunity to sing in front of the A&R's of every major label in Australia. I know how difficult it is just to get in front of one! Imagine how hard it would be to get someone in America to listen to you... but Dream Inc is bringing a little bit of America to us, the great Seymour Stein.
I have already had the privileged of meeting him and I can tell you he speaks from the heart, his feedback is direct and honest. Like you I am hoping he packs me in his suitcase and takes me back to America with him
For those of you whom have not registered and are a little unsure I would love to hear from you and answer any questions you may have. You can either contact me via my MySpace or contact Dream Inc via email
I have been on the Jaanz Camps where the Dream Inc Music Workshops were founded, so I can draw my experiences and explain a little on what to expect.
Look forward to meeting and networking with everyone in September.
Brooke Addamo
Dream Inc Music Workshops Ambassador
Tips from David Jaanz to get yourself prepared for the September Workshops...
So many people are asking "What do I need to do to get myself ready for these Workshops?" Well here are some tips from David Jaanz Co-Director of Dream Inc Workshops and CEO & Founder of the David Jaanz School of Singing.
1. Participants need to firstly come to the workshops with a positive mental attitude
2. They must come in with an expectation to grow and learn
3. They must be willing to stretch and try new ideas
But David believes that...
4. The most important preparation is each students attitude at the workshops. Prepare to grow, learn and go beyond your expectations!
"These workshops will be life changing for many!"
Message from our Guest Artist and Mentor Natalie Bassingthwaighte...
"I think there is nothing better than sharing your experiences (good and bad) with those who are willing to take on the challenge"
Message from our Guest Artist and Mentor Ella & Jesse Hooper...
"We are really looking forward to spending some time with all these aspiring musicians and performers. It's going to be a great experience for everyone regardless of their experience levels, as we get creative with song ideas and writing concepts"
Message from our Guest Artist and Mentor Stu Macleod from Eskimo Joe...
"I would have loved it if there was something like this back when I started out songwriting. Whether you're just beginning, or you've been in the business for years, I think there's always' something to learn from your peers, even if it's a stepping stone to creating a song from a different perspective."
Message from our Guest Artist and Mentor Katie Noonan...
"Throughout my life music has been my lifeline. It has helped me learn about myself, gain confidence in myself and enabled me to trust my instincts.
Growing up is not easy for anyone - and music was the one thing that helped me through - it was my escape, my comfort, my solace. It is my chance to be still in the midst of noise and connect with myself.
I am really looking forward to connecting with the young people at this workshop and we can share in this bond that unites us. I am constantly inspired by our youth's talent and vision and I am sure this workshop will be no different!"
