Dream Inc Music Workshops June Newsletter: Your Dream Stage By Stage

Welcome to the first edition of the Dream Inc Music Workshops newsletter.

This may be the first time you're hearing from us, in which case hello and thanks so much for your interest. We're incredibly excited to be bringing you the inaugural Dream Inc. event this September 18-20 at the Melbourne Town Hall and thought we'd update you on what's been happening!

A World First, Music Workshops with a super-star difference set to take place this September!

Dream Inc. and IMG are excited to announce the inaugural Dream Inc. Music Workshop set to take place in Melbourne this September 18 - 20 at the Melbourne Town Hall.

Over the three-day event the participants will be educated on aspects of singing, songwriting and performance. Additionally they will be learning from experienced teachers combined with superstar artists. Students will learn skills from to Kav, Joel and Stu from Australia's biggest rock band Eskimo Joe, solo-virtuoso Katie Noonan (lead singer of george), New Zealand's exciting singer-songwriter Brooke Fraser, James Ash of Australia's Rogue Traders, and The Verses (the new band from Ella & Jesse Hooper ex-Killing Heidi) and with Special Guest legendary A&R Head of Sire Records USA Seymour Stein who has worked with artists including Madonna, Talking Heads and The Ramones.

Along with developing skills and creativity, Dream Inc. Music Workshops will also give participants involved the opportunity to increase their individual self-confidence. With youth depression and low self-esteem so prevalent in today's society we aim to focus on everyone's individual uniqueness and build their dignity, pride and self-confidence, with the assistance of beyondblue - the national depression initiative. A portion of all profits will be donated to beyondblue to assist with the service they provide to Australian's suffering from depression.

Announcing Star Development deals in conjunction with Sony, Universal, Warner and EMI

We are extremely pleased to announce that Sony Music, Mercury Records, Island Records, Warner Music and EMI have joined forces with the Dream Inc. Music Workshops to provide 6 x Star Development Deals to participants at this year's inaugural workshop. Seymour Stein and A&R Executives from these five major record labels will be choosing the 6 most talented students from the Original Song Performances on the third day of the Workshops. Imagine that, you could be lucky enough to be working with the creative folks at Sony, Mercury, Island, Warner or EMI and find yourself recording your very own songs in a studio!

It is an amazing opportunity for any aspiring artist to perform in front of these people, let alone with the chance of picking up one of the deals. The Star Development Deals will give each recipient the chance to record their own songs in a proper recording studio, with an experienced engineer, and overseen by professional A&R people over a week long period. They will come out of it with a professional demo and invaluable experience and contacts.

Michael Parisi of Michael Parisi Management, and former president of A&R for Warner Music Australia said, "These deals will provide a young artist with a unique opportunity to develop their craft with the help of professional A&R people. It's like finding a gold ticket in a chocolate bar for any aspiring artist!"

Meet our first Ambassador... Brooke Addamo!

Brooke is a highly accomplished singer and performer and has recently joined the Dream Inc team as our very first ambassador. In fact Brooke was filmed with US Music Industry veteran and founder of Sire Records Seymour Stein recently by Today Tonight, how exciting!

As a student of David Jaanz at the David Jaanz School of Singing, I personally have been to many Jaanz National Camps over the years and have always been inspired by the wealth of information I obtained just over a weekend.

It was only a matter of time that the Jaanz Camps were going to out grow themselves, and I am so glad that they are now open to aspiring musicians outside of the David Jaanz School of Singing.

With the addition of mentors like Michael Parisi, Frank Varrasso and Seymour Sein, not to mention the guest artists including Eskimo Joe, Katie Noonan, Brooke Fraser and more, this is an event not to be missed.
