A. Yes of course. Our Workshops are for anyone from Year 7 and up

Q. What if my child is under Year 7…is that ok?

A. Unfortunately we can ONLY accept students from Year 7/High School

Q. Is it a requirement to have had singing or music lessons in the past?

A. Our Workshops are designed to cater for anyone from a Beginner who has never had lessons to the professional singers either gigging or teaching

Q. What if I have never written or a song? Can I join?

A. Our songwriting sessions will be split into different categories, so we will have sessions from ‘I’ve never written a song’ to ‘I’m writing songs for a living’

Q. What if I’m currently enrolled in another singing or music school?

A. e believe that our Workshops will build on your current or past training, so no matter if you’ve had or you are having lessons currently we believe you will be able to learn something out of these workshops

Q. Do I need to be able to play a musical instrument?

A. No! We will have teachers/songwriters available to assist you with songwriting, so even if you can’t play an instrument these Workshops are for you!

Q. My child is very young and I’m not sure of the level of security there will be at the event?

A. Your child will be placed into groups that will have a Group leader/Teacher. This teacher will be able to look after your child with any needs they might have each day and monitor them during all breaks. As lunch will be provided, no one will need to leave the venue during the lunch break, but if you do wish for your child to leave for lunch, if they are under 18years of age the child will need to be signed out of the venue at the reception desk at the start of lunch.

Q. What do I need to bring with me on the day?

A. If you play guitar we recommend that you bring along your acoustic guitar (that has a pick up to plug into a stage DI) so that you can use this for all song writing and performances. More information visit our About The Workshop page.

Q. What times will I be required to attend the Workshops each day?

A. The workshops will run from 9.00am to 5.00pm daily. Note that each day commences with registration from 7.30am, and you should aim to arrive before 8.00am. We require all parents that will be dropping off and picking up their children to be on time.

Q. I’m coming to Melbourne from Interstate/Overseas for the Workshops. Can you assist me with details for accommodation and flights?

A. Dream Inc Workshops has partnered with Parkview Hotel Melbourne for a Special Accommodation rate for all our Participants. Please see Accommodation Partners page for further information.
